ESA for Cities Award - Dar es salaam
GeoTE was honored with the Spatial People Award, a monthly grant that supports innovative mapathon projects across Eastern and Southern Africa. With this support, we organized a collaborative mapathon in Dar es Salaam, bringing together all YouthMappers chapters. The effort was a great success; we mapped over 30,000 buildings, contributing vital spatial data to strengthen city planning, disaster preparedness, and the development of more informed and livable urban spaces.
